Same Road, Different Day

Dog and I tend to walk the same little stretch of road most days.

It probably looks a bit monotonous from the outside, but for him it’s a completely new adventure every time. There are smells to investigate, rocks to explore, trees that apparently need urgent attention, and after a shower of rain there seems to be a whole new world waiting to be sniffed.

I think I get something different from the walk too.

Ten minutes outside can clear the head, change the scenery and make you notice things you might otherwise miss — the weather shifting, the season changing, the leaves moving in the breeze, the light doing something beautiful for no particular reason.

Nothing dramatic. Nothing especially profound

Just a reminder that even the same road can feel different depending on the day.
